Zines have long been used by feminist networks as a tool for communicating within counterpublics. In this informal workshop we’ll transform papers, CVs, journal articles, academic brochures, or whatever content you’d like, into zines. The workshop will foreground discussion of the political and material concerns that affect authors and audiences in academic publishing.
Everyone should bring: a printed term paper, book, or other material to cut up. We’ll have tape, glue sticks, and a photocopier at the ready. Extra scissors always welcome.
Participants will receive a few copies of their zine and we’ll place a few copies in the Little Free Zine Library in the Admin Suite in the ATC building.
12pm – 1pm in ATC 1.801b. Face masks are encourage and appreciated.
